Korean Best#1 Foods loved by Foreigner

I. General Description of Korean Food



The staple of the Korea is rice. Rice could be either only rice or rice with some grains like adzuki beans, millet, beans. Korean always eat rice with a bunch of side dishes and soup. Soup is one of the most important things in Korean cuisine. Korea has a lot of awesome soup. In many Korean restaurants, soup is even the main thing on their menu. Korean side dishes are made by meat, vegetables, sea food, seaweed.  We also use chopstick and spoon instead of fork and knife.


 II. Best Korean Foods
I wanna post very famous Korean foods which have been loved by foreigners, not Korean.

#1 Japchae



 Japchae is very beloved food from both of foreigners and Korean. A variety of  ingredients made awesome tastes! This is made by stir-fry silver noodles, beef and various vegetables such as carrot, mushroom,onion, and spinach.




 #2 Korean BBQ -  Bulgogi & Galbi

Korean Bulgogi and Galbi can be made by marinating beef or polk for several hours.
Bulgogi often use tenderloin or sirloin which are very soft parts. It is cooked by grilling marinated meat with scallion and onion.

Galbi use rib and less vegetables than Bulgogi.
Both of marinated style BBQ is very popular ones by foreigners.



















 # 3 Bibimbap


Bibimbob is a very healthy food. This is one of the best way you can enjoy numerous healthy vegetables deliciously. The tastes are different by which ingredient is mixed. You can also adjust the degree of spicy taste as you want. Rice, minced beef, sunny-side up fried eggs, softly blanched or fried vegetables, red pepper paste, and sesame oil are main ingredients. Vegetables could be bean sprouts, green pumpkin, bracken, shiitake mushroom, etc.




#4 Kimchi


 Kimchi is the most important side dishes in Korea. Korean believes eating Korean foods with Kimchi always tastes better. For example, it is like a pickle with pizza. Kimchi has spicy and sour tastes. Kimchi is fermented food and getting sour as time goes by. It can be used for Kimchi jjigae (sticky type of soup) and added for many Korean food, either. The main ingredient is Chinese cabbage, pepper powder, scallion, garlic, ginger, and some Jeotgal (salted seafood).





 #5 Jeon



 Jeon is a little like pancake. But never sweet.
It has so many types. The ingredients can be meet, seafood, vegetables. You can dip it in soy sauce.










 Korean also often enjoy jeon with makgeoli. Makgeoli is Korean traditional drink which has sweet tastes. It is made by rice and similar to Japanese Sake. The combination is loved by many foreigners. Korean jeon & makgeoli bar also has traditional interior style which will be a great memory for you!









#8 Naeng-myeon




Naeng-myeon means cold noodles in Korean language. It is very popular in summer.
The soup has a very refreshing taste and some ice. It tastes sweet and sour. Naeng-myeon noodle is made by kudzu, buckwheat, potato, sweet potato starch, so it is very chewy. Main ingredient is noodle, a slice of polk, boiled egg, cucumber and white radish.
